If I contribute an opinion, how will I know whether my piece will be published?

The Periscope Post reviews contributions to our Views section before they are published. We never censor contributions based on political or ideological points of view, however, we reserve the right to reject contributions that: (i) are abusive or use excessive foul language; (ii) include personal attacks including comments that celebrate the death or illness of any person, public figure or otherwise; (iii) contain racist, sexist, homophobic or other forms of hate-speech; (iv) are solicitations and/or advertising for personal blogs and websites; (v) are posted with the explicit intention of provoking other contributors, commentors, or the staff at The Periscope Post; or, (vi) contain content that may infringe the copyright or intellectual property rights of others or other applicable laws or regulations.

If you have submitted a View and you do not see it on the site or have not yet heard back from us, there are two likely reasons for this. The first possible reason is that your submission is pending approval. Since the volume of contributions to the site continues to grow, there is often a delay between a contribution being submitted and it being approved, especially during peak hours. We appreciate your patience and ask that you refrain from submitting the same View multiple times. The second possible reason is that your contribution violated the policy described in the paragraph above.
