Rocker Lenny Kravitz has confirmed that the recently surfaced Michael Jackson song, a collaboration between him and the deceased King of Pop, is authentic – but says that he wasn’t responsible for the leak. Kravitz said the track is not mixed and is not a final version, reported American celebrity gossip site TMZ.com.
The song, called “Another Day”, shares some of the same lyrics as an older song by Kravitz called “Storm.” Jackson’s record label Sony, backed by the Jackson estate lawyers, wants to have the song pulled off the internet, sources told TMZ.

Kravitz issued a video statement to “set the record straight,” he said, explaining that the track was 90 seconds of unmixed material he wrote, produced and recorded with Jackson before his death last June, reported The Telegraph. Kravitz added that the track had been “locked up in a vault since we recorded it”; the rocker also claimed that recording the track with Jackson was “one of the most amazing musical experiences I’ve ever had” and that the track was “done by two people who had respect for each other and who love music, that was it.”
Regarding an official release of the song, Kravitz confirmed saying he would like the situation to be sorted out as soon as possible to have fans to hear the song the way he and Michael intended it to be heard, reported BBC.
This is the second leaked track of Michael Jackson since his death in June 2009, following the release of the film This Is It in October 2009, reported the BBC.
