X MARKS THE BOX negotiates the political maze from the citizen’s point of view – it’s meant to shake up apathy, inform people and offer practical ways to use British democracy to fight for the things that you believe in. I’m a self-confessed ‘born-again voter’. I used to be very cynical about politics, but now I’ve written this book to try to get other people excited about this thing we call politics once more – especially after all the recent disillusionments and scandals.

The 2010 election promises to be very close, and I want as many people as possible to read the book and, hopefully, feel inspired as I was to get interested in the world around me once again. And I look forward to discussing the book with anyone who’s interested on my blog.
