Thomas D. Gommes Thomas D. Gommes is the founder and publisher of The Periscope Post, a former corporate lawyer, and a graduate of the Masters' program at The Columbia University School of Journalism. In December 2009, he launched The Periscope Post, a news and views site that combines the best elements of professional journalism with the best elements of reader interaction. Born of Greek and French parents in London, he lived in London until leaving for New York to attend Columbia University, followed by Columbia Law School, where he served as Senior Editor on The Columbia Law Review, and then some years at the firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore before leaving in favour of journalism and a return to Europe.
